The Man Who Died Twice: Book Review
The Thursday Murder Club series has officially cemented itself as one of my all-time favorites, and after devouring the entire collection, I’m finally sitting down to gush about it. The second book "The Man Who Died Twice"—Absolute magic—it takes the charm of the first and cranks up the intrigue to new levels.
We reunite with our lovable quartet of Elizabeth, Joyce, Ron, and Ibrahim, plus the dynamic duo of Officer Chris and PC Donna. This installment dives deeper into Elizabeth’s secret past as a former MI5 agent (she’s both terrifyingly brilliant and hilariously blunt—what a woman!) while introducing us to a new character, the formidable Connie Johnson.
What’s fascinating is the dual storylines: one following our intrepid club members and the other focusing on Chris and Donna’s police work. They seem unconnected at first, but Richard Osman’s masterful storytelling weaves them together in ways that keep you guessing—and grinning.
The humor is sharp, the characters are delightfully eccentric, and spending time in their quirky world feels like catching up with old friends. They’re all so wildly different but come together in a way that’s both chaotic and heartwarming.
Honestly, I can’t get enough of this crew. And with the 5th installment slated for 2025, the countdown begins! If you haven’t picked up this series yet, do yourself a favor and dive in. You’re in for a murderously good time. 🕵️♂️✨
